Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a fully qualified hairdresser living in Ware, Hertfordshire. I have been a hairdresser for many years specialising in hair for weddings and occasions.
I cover all areas and can travel to your venue, hotel or house if required. I have previously worked at Hanbury Manor hair salon, Scissor Sisters Hair Salon and The Maltings Hair and Beauty and I operate a professional salon at home.
Wedding Trial
I would always recommend a wedding hair trial from anything to six months before your big day, although I would suggest hair colour has been done two weeks before the wedding. Generally, just the bride has a trial but some people do like bridesmaids to have a trial as well to match the hairstyles in some way as well as test out the styles they have chosen. The mother of the bride may wish to come along as well to try out ways for a hair facinator or try hat and hair together.
For the trial (and wedding day hair) I would suggest you wash your hair the day before and do not straighten hair with straigteners on the day. Silky or straightenend hair is not good to try out styles. If the hair is freshly washed some styles are harder to hold. If your hair is especially greasy then we can discuss how to get around this.
What to Bring
Any photos, pictures of styles, veil, tiara, hair pieces, accessories and anything that you would like to check against the finishing style. Some people may like to check their necklace and earrings with the style and hair accessories. I can arrange to get any jewellery or decorated hair pins/accessories for bride or bridesmaids hand made to the colour and design you require at a very reasonable cost by putting you in touch with Laetitia. Laetitia can craft many beautiful items, always taking into account the hairstyles and persona of her clients, meaning you get stunning jewellery at an affordable price!
Bridal make up and nails can be done at the trial as well if you wish. Contact Becky on 0750 667 9873. She can come to the trial and can come on the wedding day to do either just the bride or full wedding party.
Prices
Wedding trial £25 per hour.Come to me in my salon at home or I can come to you, but a call out fee (from £15) will be added.
Once the trial and wedding agreed and booked I will require a £25 deposit. This is refundable if cancellation is before 4 weeks prior to the wedding day. Payment is cash or cheque only.

We can do a package price for the whole wedding party for either just hair or make up as well.
On the day
Wear something cool that unbuttons rather than goes over your head. We do not want to ruin or pull the hair.
We will allow plenty of time. I can arrange for two hairdressers to be available if there are a number of you. I can also arrange for make up to be done at the same time as your hair. Arrange to be ready at least half an hour before the photographer wants you, if not a bit longer. I can stay and arrange your veil once you are dressed if required.
